Usually the birds around here don't eat while its raining, but that didn't seem to stop these little guys and gals from taking the time to swoop in and enjoy my feeder.
They include three different lovely couples: a pair of Northern Cardinals (Cardinalis cardinalis), House Finches (Haemorhous mexicanus), and that sweet Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) couple that I previously mentioned in my last bird photography post who didn't mind sharing with the smaller birds. The cardinals, on the other hand, preferred to dine alone -- the male and female didn't even eat with each other.
