Its really sobering to look at this list, just from one single county in South Carolina, and see how many of these men and boys died just from camp diseases and hospitalization. Never mind those that died in actual combat.

Over 20 of the men and boys mentioned who served with the 6th South Carolina Infantry from Chester County were killed at Seven Pines alone.
