The January 2017 full moon counts as the first full moon after the
December solstice. In North America, we often refer to this full moon as: the Wolf
Moon, Old Moon or Moon After Yule.
I took a couple of incredible shots between the branches of a tree in my backyard this evening of the first full moon of 2017 through the clouds. Unfortunately I was unable to catch Luna rising in the east through the cloud cover.
These photographs were taken about an hour after sunset, about 7 PM EST.
As always I hope y'all enjoyed my night sky photography.
