Well everyone March is here and with it spring time here in North America. The flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing, and the migratory birds are becoming more and more frequent.
Today, I have some more outstanding photos of some of the usual feathered visitors to my back yard for this time of year -- as well as a few photos of my four-legged furry friend, Loki (a.k.a. Mr. Kitteh) watching them from his resting place in the bushes in the background.
The birds include: Northern Cardinals (Cardinalis cardinalis), House Finches (Haemorhous mexicanus), Carolina Chickadees (Poecile carolinensis), Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus), Northern Mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos), and the Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor).
Interesting fun fact: here in the United States the Carolina Wren is the official State bird of my home State of South Carolina and the Northern Cardinal is the official bird of our sister State of North Carolina.

My semi-feral backyard pal, Loki, enjoys watching the birds from the bushes. Y'all can see him sometimes in the background of my photos watching from his favorite resting place. |
More backyard birds coming soon.
