Fun At HeroesCon 2015

Well Folks, Take A Guess Who Really Shot First?

On Saturday, June 20th, I traveled north to Charlotte, NC to attend HeroesCon 2015.

First of all let me tell you that I absolutely, positively hate driving through downtown Charlotte. Traffic is bumper to bumper and speed limits are more like speed suggestions in the town famous for the NASCAR Hall of Fame among other notable attractions. Fortunately the Charlotte Convention Center is only a few blocks from Interstate 77 and I only had to find a nearly parking garage that wasn't full. I had to park a block away to find one.

The line to get in was a long one, but well worth the wait. I met some really amazing outstanding cosplayers and got the autographs of several great comic and graphic novel artists. It was a fun time and a great way to spend an afternoon. I only wish I'd had a couple hundred dollars to spend, but money was a bit tight. Still I did manage to get a few little keepsakes.

The following photos are some of the highlights of that trip.

One of the absolute highlights of HeroesCon 2015 for me was meeting Mr. Mike Maihack, the author of the amazing graphic novel series Cleopatra in Space, as well as some pretty awesome super hero artwork.

Hi Mike!
A True Comic Art Genius At Work.
Thanks For The Autographs And The Artwork Dude!

Overall I had a pretty good time hanging around with fellow comic book and graphic novel enthusiasts and just getting in touch with my inner nerd-boy. Already looking forward to the next one!
