White-tailed Deer Fawns Visiting My Backyard

Greetings & Salutations, Y'all!

Yesterday afternoon, I found two lovely new visitors to my backyard, a pair of juvenile White-tailed Deer (
Odocoileus virginianus). These two young fawns hung around in my yard for about ten minutes before heading back into the woods. White-tailed deer are among the most common deer native to both North and South America.

Both of these beautiful creatures are still very young because they have their white spots, which are their natural camouflage. White-tail fawns do not lose these spots until they are around four months old and their coats turn a solid brown, which will happen the closer we get to autumn.

I usually get deer visitors to my backyard year around but only see them from time-to-time. I didn't see any signs of an adult nearby, so I wonder if these two siblings were on their own?

I hope y'all enjoyed my photos of these beautiful babies. Hopefully I'll see them again and get some more photos in the future.
