My first planetary photograph of 2016 is here!
Because it was somewhat cloudy I only had a brief moment to get this really good close-up shot of the waning crescent moon near the planets Venus and Saturn in the eastern predawn sky.
Venus and Saturn are getting closer to a planetary conjunction on the early morning of Saturday, January 9th, which I won't be able to get a proper photo of due to weather conditions....darn it!
If y'all want to see it, look to the southeast between 6 AM - 7:30 AM EST on Saturday morning.
