Night Sky Photography - 01-12-2017 - First Full Moon Of 2017!

The January 2017 full moon counts as the first full moon after the December solstice. In North America, we often refer to this full moon as: the Wolf Moon, Old Moon or Moon After Yule.

I took a couple of incredible shots between the branches of a tree in my backyard this evening of the first full moon of 2017 through the clouds. Unfortunately I was unable to catch Luna rising in the east through the cloud cover.

These photographs were taken about an hour after sunset, about 7 PM EST.

As always I hope y'all enjoyed my night sky photography.
