This evening I was able to get a couple of really good shots of the planet Jupiter next to the nearly full moon. The actual first full moon of spring will not occur over North America until the evening of Wednesday, March 23rd.
The first shot I took at approximately 8 PM EST just after the sunset and an hour after moonrise. The second shot I took just before midnight when the moon and Jupiter were high overhead in the night sky.
